Batli29 is located in the most happening market of Gurgaon or probably whole NCR. Easy to locate in sector-29 market, Batli29 is spread across three levels with an extended terrace seating on forth level. The interiors are easy on eyes with darker shades used across the whole theme and the food menu is inspired from the Indian cuisine with modern touch.

Bhatti da Murg – A great dish with a healthy portion of amazingly marinated chicken pieces further grilled to perfection. The chicken was really succulent and served with perfect companions of onion and mint chutney.

Batli29 Veg Tandoori Platter – The veg platter was a great fusion of some amazing Dahi ke Kebab, Hara Bhara Kebab and Paneer Tikka served with Masala Papads and mint chutney. A perfect option to choose when you cannot decide your starters.

Ajwaini Fish Tikka – Nicely marinated and perfectly cooked fish tikkas were a delight and is a must recommend for all the fish lovers. They were really soft and spices used in marination were bang on target.

Batli Mini Pav Burgers – A simple vada bun preparation into a burger with extra vegetables added like tomato and onion with the potato patty and green chutney. The sliders are further served with freshly made fries and are a great option to consider for all the veg food lovers.

Lagan ki Boti – A lamb based preparation where small chunks of lamb are marinated with great in house spices and then grilled perfectly to be served in a skewer like preparation. Served with mint chutney and onions, this dish should be a must.

Amritsari Keema Ande di Bhurji – Probably my all time favorite dish and among the best served during this meal. Personally I have always been a fan of keema and egg bhurji all my life and I couldn’t be happier seeing these on a platter served with warm buns heated over butter.

Dal Fry – A classic favorite of many rather came in as a surprise on the menu, as usually the staple dishes aren’t really served in restaurants unless in a creative way but the chef relied on his cooking skills to provide it in basic form. Anyways the dal was a perfect blend of great spices and amazing taste and further served garnished with coriander on top.

Dal Makhani – A rich creamy dal makhani is never to be missed when on menu. The one served here was not really thick as it is supposed to be but somehow compensated that with fine usage of spices and ample of butter in preparing it.

Makhani Chicken – Or as we know it Butter Chicken was again bang on target with a generous use of butter and amazing spices in preparing it. The chicken was also cooked perfectly as it was literally slipping off the bones and was very tender.

Mratbaan Nalli Nihari Platter – This platter is huge and a perfect meal for two people. Served with amazing Dal Makhani and Sheermal on the sides, the nalli nihari didn’t disappoint either. Apart from nicely prepared gravy, the meat was really tender and easily slipping off the bones. A must try dish!

Karari Thai Curry – A basic thai dish had a twist with fragrant jasmine rice topped with crispy namakpare (and Indian snack prepared by deep frying). A beautifully presented with just decent taste but not much impressed with dish overall.

Beer – In house freshly brewed light beer was light on taste and sort of a variety that you can repeat many times during your meal. Separately this place actually serves really nice brewed drinks and makes sure to try as many as you can.

LIIT – Enough said!! No bartender can go wrong with this. Served in a huge glass with lots of ice and lime, the drink was really strong and up to its standards.

Saffron Risotto with Rabri – We can also call this ‘Firni’ to avoid any confusion. This is definitely not to be missed with the sweetness levels in check and the flavor of saffron that brings an amazing fragrance with every bite.

Kala Jamun, Kala Forest – The black forest pastry in a jar was again fresh and had great taste with perfect sweetness levels.

Banana and Jaggery Cake with Salted Caramel Sauce – This preparation inside a jar was actually heavy because of all the ingredients like banana, jiggery, caramel and lots of cream. A must have.

Finally I would happily rate this place a really good 4.5/5 for the amazing food, taste, varieties, drinks, service and the whole ambience; while cutting few points for being on a little expensive side.
